Service Technician

Company Description Accurate Engineering, established in 2003, is a leading manufacturer of “accucut” brand band saw machines and a supplier of high-quality bandsaw blades.

Role Description The Service Technician will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of band saw and metal cutting machines at customer locations and within the workshop. Daily activities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, replacing parts, and ensuring machines meet performance and safety standards. The role also involves documenting service activities, providing clear technical guidance to customers, and coordinating with the internal team for spare parts and scheduling. The Service Technician is expected to maintain a professional, customer-focused approach and support continuous improvement of service quality.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair skills, with hands-on experience working on industrial or metal cutting machinery.
• Candidates should possess proficient Troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify mechanical and basic electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
• Candidates should possess practical Field Service skills, with readiness to travel locally as needed and work safely at customer sites.
• Candidates should possess solid Customer Service and communication skills to explain technical issues clearly and maintain positive client relationships.
• Candidates should possess general Maintenance skills, including routine inspections, preventive care, and accurate service documentation.
• Relevant technical qualification such as a diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred.
• Experience with band saw machines, cutting equipment, or similar industrial machinery is an advantage.
• Ability to read technical drawings, use standard workshop tools, and follow safety protocols is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, reliability, and willingness to learn new technologies and procedures.
