Defoy Innovation Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is building an integrated hospitality and travel ecosystem from Kashmir.


We are looking for a Head of Marketing who thinks and operates like a founder—someone who can take complete ownership of the marketing function, build the team, define the strategy, execute aggressively, and remain accountable for measurable business results.


This is not a role for someone who only coordinates agencies, approves creatives, prepares presentations, or reports vanity metrics.


We need a leader who can independently build a powerful marketing engine that drives:

  • Direct hotel bookings
  • Qualified leads and conversions
  • Brand awareness and preference
  • Higher occupancy and stronger ADR
  • Increased revenue from campaigns
  • Content that translates into demand
  • Long-term brand equity for Defoy


The initial and immediate responsibility will be to lead the complete marketing function for Defoy Hotels & Resorts. As the Defoy ecosystem expands, the selected candidate will gradually take charge of marketing across all Defoy ventures.


What You Will Own
  • Develop and execute the complete marketing strategy for Defoy Hotels & Resorts.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of brand, performance marketing, content, social media, partnerships, public relations, influencer marketing, CRM and customer acquisition.
  • Build campaigns around hotel stays, resort experiences, events, weddings, corporate retreats and seasonal travel demand.
  • Create a strong direct-booking strategy to reduce excessive dependence on OTAs.
  • Work closely with sales, reservations, revenue management and hotel operations to convert marketing activity into revenue.
  • Build and lead an internal marketing team comprising content, design, video, social media, performance marketing and related functions.
  • Select, manage and evaluate external agencies, freelancers, creators and technology partners where required.
  • Establish clear marketing KPIs, dashboards, budgets and reporting systems.
  • Improve campaign ROAS, cost per qualified lead, conversion rates, website traffic, direct bookings and customer retention.
  • Develop the overall brand architecture, communication standards and positioning for Defoy and its ventures.
  • Conduct market, competitor and customer research and convert those insights into campaigns and business opportunities.
  • Take complete accountability for marketing outcomes—not merely marketing activity.


Who We Are Looking For

You may be the right person for this role if you:

  • Have successfully led marketing for a hotel group, resort brand, travel company, luxury brand, consumer business or another high-growth organisation.
  • Understand both brand building and performance marketing.
  • Can connect marketing decisions directly with revenue, occupancy, ADR, conversions and customer acquisition.
  • Are capable of building a marketing department from the ground up.
  • Can independently make decisions, solve problems and move quickly without waiting for constant instructions.
  • Have strong leadership, communication, creative judgement and commercial understanding.
  • Know how to identify strong talent and hold a team accountable for execution.
  • Are comfortable working in a fast-moving, founder-led organisation.
  • Have a proven record of delivering measurable results.


This Role Is Not Suitable for Someone Who
  • Needs constant supervision or detailed instructions.
  • Measures success only through reach, followers, impressions or engagement.
  • Is limited to one marketing specialisation and cannot lead the complete function.
  • Prefers managing vendors over taking personal ownership.
  • Is uncomfortable being accountable for revenue-related outcomes.
  • Wants a conventional role with narrow responsibilities and slow decision-making.
What Success Will Look Like

Within the first few months, the selected candidate should be able to:

  • Build a clear marketing strategy and execution calendar.
  • Establish measurable acquisition and revenue targets.
  • Strengthen Defoy’s digital presence and brand positioning.
  • Launch campaigns capable of generating direct bookings and qualified demand.
  • Improve coordination between marketing, reservations and sales.
  • Build or restructure the marketing team.
  • Create a scalable marketing system that can later support every company within the Defoy ecosystem.
