About The Opportunity

A fast-growing player in the global apparel & fashion retail sector, we partner with leading brands to drive product commercialization, seasonal assortment planning, and supply-chain agility across India and international markets. Our merchandising teams operate at the intersection of trend forecasting, margin optimization, and speed-to-shelf execution—transforming design concepts into commercially successful collections with precision and scale. Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end apparel merchandising for assigned categories—owning open-to-buy, seasonality planning, and markdown strategies to hit GMROI and sell-through targets.
  • Collaborate with design, sourcing, and supply chain teams to align product development with market demand, budget, and calendar milestones.
  • Analyze sales velocity, inventory aging, and markdown performance to recommend reallocation, replenishment, or discontinuation actions.
  • Forecast demand using historical data, trend signals, and competitive intelligence—ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing overstock/understock risk.
  • Negotiate with vendors on cost, MOQs, and delivery timelines while adhering to brand guidelines and margin guardrails.
  • Present merchandising performance dashboards to senior leadership, translating data into actionable insights and strategic pivots.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, forecasting models)
  • ERP systems (SAP, Oracle Retail, or similar)
  • Open-to-Buy planning
  • Assortment planning
  • Inventory turnover analysis
  • Markdown optimization
  • Vendor negotiation
  • Seasonal merchandise lifecycle management
  • Preferred
  • Experience with fashion retail PLM tools (Centric, Lectra)
  • Knowledge of Indian textile supply chains or domestic sourcing hubs
  • Exposure to omnichannel retail metrics (online vs. offline performance)
