Job Summary
The Business Development Manager - Micronutrients will be responsible for driving B2B sales and business growth for Zinc Sulphate (Mono/Hepta) and other inorganic micronutrient products across fertilizer manufacturers, agri-input companies, distributors, and institutional buyers. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, coordinating with internal teams for product development and supply chain execution, and achieving sales and revenue targets. The incumbent will play a critical role in expanding market presence, strengthening customer partnerships, and providing market intelligence to support strategic business decisions.

Education / Other Minimum Requirements
- B.Sc. in Agriculture, B.Tech, MBA, or equivalent qualification.
- MBA in Agribusiness Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 8-10 years of proven B2B sales and business development experience in chemicals, agrochemicals, fertilizers, micronutrients, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of fertilizer markets, plant nutrition products, and agricultural input distribution channels.
- Prior experience working with fertilizer manufacturers, fertilizer blenders, agri-input companies, distributors, cooperatives, or institutional buyers will be an advantage.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management, communication, and commercial acumen.
- Willingness to travel extensively to customer locations, manufacturing facilities, and industry events.
- Identify, develop, and acquire new B2B customers for Zinc Sulphate (Mono and Heptahydrate grades) and other inorganic micronutrient products across fertilizer companies, agri-input organizations, distributors, bulk consumers, and institutional buyers.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement teams, technical departments, and senior stakeholders to drive long-term business partnerships.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and technical teams for product sampling, specification alignment, product approvals, and customer-specific requirements.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including lead generation, customer qualification, product presentations, technical discussions, plant audits, commercial negotiations, order finalization, and contract execution.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as defined by management, ensuring profitable growth and market expansion.
- Work closely with logistics, dispatch, production planning, and accounts teams to ensure timely product delivery, smooth order execution, and efficient payment collection.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and support collection activities to maintain healthy customer accounts and cash flow.
- Develop and manage key accounts by identifying opportunities for repeat business, cross-selling, and long-term supply agreements.
- Track competitor activities, product offerings, pricing trends, customer preferences, and market developments, providing actionable market intelligence and strategic recommendations to management.
- Prepare sales forecasts, business development plans, customer visit reports, pipeline updates, and periodic performance reviews.
- Participate in industry exhibitions, trade fairs, customer seminars, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate new business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial guidelines, contractual obligations, and applicable industry regulations.
